I would like to know the salary difference between onsite and offsite projects in a company. Which one is better to work to get better salary- onsite or offsite?

Hi,

Both have their own pros and cons.

Onsite jobs may offer slightly better salaries but also provide valuable experience. Fixed extra allowances will serve as monetary perks, but they will be in addition to the salary package and may not be considered part of the base salary during a job change.

On the downside, onsite jobs can be more demanding and time-consuming. You might feel isolated from the industry at large and distant from managerial oversight, leading to potentially monotonous work.

Offsite jobs, on the other hand, guarantee a steady salary with periodic raises. While job experience may be more limited, the complete cost-to-company (CTC) will be included in your portfolio.

You can enjoy a better work-life balance and manageable hours with offsite roles. You'll have the opportunity to keep an eye on the market and explore new opportunities. Being more visible to management, you can directly showcase your performance for appraisals.

Ultimately, pursuing what interests you and aligns with your preferences will bring greater job satisfaction. Remember, salary is just one aspect to consider when choosing a job.

Best Regards,

Amod Boabde.
