Dear All,

When a person transfers his EPF from a previous employer to the present employer, does the pension fund also get transferred? I did an online transfer recently, and in my account, it shows a transfer from previous employment number under employer and employee contributions, but the pension fund shows blank. Whether the pension fund is merged with the employer's share during the transfer. If the pension fund will not get transferred along with PF transfer, then what is the procedure to be followed?

Usually, pension contributions will get transferred along with PF transfer. However, confirm with your concerned Sub-Regional PF Office. If not transferred, apply for a scheme certificate by submitting Form 10-C, endorsed by the previous employer, to the former PF Office.

I too transferred my PF amount from the previous employer to the present employer. Only the employee and employer contributions towards PF got transferred. I cross-checked with the PF office, and they told me that the pension amount will be accounted for as the number of years of service in case of transfer.
