Dear HR Fraternity,

Vide Notification CLA-10/2014/CR 264/Lab-10 dated 01.06.2015, the GOM amended the rules under the CLRA Act 1970. While reading a private circulation this afternoon, I came to know about this. I tried to search for the said notification at various online and offline sources, but in vain. The GOM official website, MAHAKAMGAR, has also not uploaded this notification. On this site, under the heading "Contract License in 7 Days," the uploaded notification pertains to the Shops and Establishment Act incorrectly.

Can anybody trace this notification and make it available to this forum?

Dear HR Fraternity,

While going through the latest notification uploads on the official website of the Maharashtra Government Labour Department, we couldn't find the latest notification copy issued on 1st June '15. Instead, the notification under the Shops & Establishment Act is uploaded with the heading "Contract License in 7 Days."

This official website was earlier known as Mahashram, but now it seems to be Maha-beshram.

We hope that the concerned government officials of the Labour Department will take notice and upload the appropriate circular/notification henceforth.

Thanks,

Dear HR Fraternity,

Implementation of the notification has been completed.

The labor office has started issuing the license/RC in almost one day. However, when exactly does this occur?

The office only accepts the application when you meet the requirements set by the officer. Until then, your application will not be accepted.

Once you fulfill the needs of the officer, your application will be accepted, and on the same day, the license/RC will be issued to you.

Government records indicate that the license/RC is issued on the spot. WAH...WAH...WAH...

Corruption has not decreased. It will not decrease. Why is that?

You can save money on the security deposit.

The security deposit has been increased to $500 per labor from $100 per labor.

Inform the officer that you cannot afford this significant amount, and he will provide an alternative.

Rather than paying $500 for the license, he may suggest obtaining it for $50.

Additionally, he will assure you that he will support you. WAH RE WAH...

I understand that this fraternity might not discuss this topic and share their feelings and views.

JAB TAK DENE WALA HAI TAB TAK LENE WALA HOGA HI.

But can one refuse to give? Especially when they intend to do business?

Thank you.

There is no place for corruption in India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in his Independence Day address to the nation, today.
“Corruption is like a termite, it spreads slowly, reaches everywhere but it can be beaten with timely injections,” he said.
Modi also declared that there had been no allegation of corruption against his government since it came to power 15 months ago.

The office does not accept the application in its inward department. You have to meet the Assistant Commissioner personally with the papers and make a deal. Then your application will be accepted, and the license issued immediately.

Why is the process of online application not followed?

The labor department in Maharashtra is highly corrupt. DCL, ACL, GLO, Clerk, and Peons are all involved.

Dear anonymous,

This is not a political forum or an anti-corruption brigade. We are here to discuss HR-related issues, to learn, and to get information that helps us in our work life. We all know about corruption in the system. Whether you choose to live with it or fight against it is your decision. Posting 10 accusations against the Prime Minister here is not going to help or interest members, especially when you don't have the courage to disclose your identity.

If the online system is not working, simply send your application by registered post. The deeming provision applies from the day the department receives it.

If you want to save money by listing fewer people on your license by bribing the officer, then why complain about the corruption that you are contributing to yourself? If you choose to obtain a lower license and your principal employer accepts it, then it's your risk to take.

Corruption will always exist as long as there are people willing to support it.
