Hello,

My name is Lida, and I have an MBA in HR, graduating in 2015. I am looking forward to a career in the hospitality industry. I have tried applying for the position of HR executive in nearby hotels in my hometown, but I have never received a positive response.

I would like to know if there are any additional courses related to HR that I can take to enhance my resume. Do you have any suggestions on how I can start my career in this field?

Thank you in advance.

Hello Lida,

Hope you are reading this mail in good health. Lida, as an MBA (HR) seeking employment as an HR Executive, you mentioned applying to a few hotels to be a part of the hospitality industry. How many interviews have you had in the last 6 months? What were the reasons or responses from employers after the interviews?

At times, we may not secure jobs matching our expectations or expertise. However, do not worry at any level, Lida. Keep exploring opportunities in other industries. You could also consider applying to large hospitals where you might find a good starting point. Once you are employed, you will shed the fresher label after a few months. Meanwhile, continue sending your CV to organizations and persist in pursuing your dream job.

Rather than waiting for the perfect job in the hotel industry, consider exploring other HR profiles in different sectors. If this gap in employment continues to grow, you may have to address more questions from potential employers about why you have not been hired yet.

If you are comfortable, please send your CV to our email. Perhaps, we can assist you.

Best Wishes,

Hi Lida,

I think you should look long term and if you have good communication skills, ability to understand others' viewpoints, and convincing skills, then you should opt for a consultant role in Oracle Apps HRMS functional side. ERP jobs are always top-paying, so you can have a good future here. Also, Oracle HRMS is popular in many foreign countries, so you can consider working abroad.

There is a training institute named Educrafters Training Academy that specializes in ERP, IT courses, and soft skills training. They also provide online training based on clients' requirements. You can contact them at www.educrafterstrainingacademy.com or email info@educrafterstrainingacademy.com.

All the best! Cheers!
