My name is Lakshmi Kant.

Me and my friend have completed a Merchant Navy course (STCW and HEUT) at an institute established in Ghaziabad (Delhi Academy of Merchant Navy). The course duration was 7 days, which we finished in April. Along with that, we each paid a full fee of Rs. 17,000. However, the owner of the Academy, Ankur Sharma, is not providing us with the certificates. The certificates he has provided are not legal; they are fake. We have lodged a complaint against the owner, Ankur Sharma, at the nearby police station, but they have not taken any action on this matter. Please, sir, help us out. It's not just about the money; he is playing with the lives and money of many other students. Please, sir, save them.

At the beginning of the course, he assured us that he would provide us with the certificates on the same day when we completed the course. However, he is now not even answering our calls and is saying to do whatever we can do.

Hi,

Is this course recognized by the Mercantile Marine Department? What type of registration does this institute claim for the conduct of educational courses? If the local police do not entertain your complaint, approach the Superintendent of Police of the area for help. How do you know if the certificate is fake? Have you spoken to other students who are doing/have done the course? Take joint action of filing an FIR and writing to the MMD in Mumbai about this institute.
