You do not have to apply the Chi-Square Test to study employee absenteeism. To control absenteeism, you need to work on the points given in the above link. For this, you need to create an action plan to control absenteeism. Make a plan, implement it, and revisit after 2-3 months. Please confirm what went well with your action plan and what did not.
