Dear Sir,
I worked in a public limited company that went bankrupt, so I left in October 2013. However, no one from the HR department or the company has responded to me regarding my PF fund transaction.
In the meantime, I learned about online PF transfer, which can be done through the digital signature of the employer registered with the PF department. My previous PF account is in Mumbai, and my recent one is in Ahmedabad. When I checked the eligibility on the EPF website, I found that only the digital signature of my recent employer is available.
Is it possible to transfer PF with only the help of my recent employer? Can I transfer PF money to my recent PF account even if the digital signature of my previous employer is not available? If yes, please elaborate on the online PF transfer process.
Thanks in advance.

Dear Anup,
Thank you for your reply. I have completed the required process, and it is now in the office in-out phase. Unfortunately, after a week, my colleagues who attempted the same process received a message from the system stating that they cannot proceed as the previous employer's signature is not available.

Dear Keyur
EPFO is shortly going to make transfer through UAN numbers functional. once that is in place you will not required signature from your previous employer. You can choose to do that with your present employer.
What is the procedure to submit EPF Online Transfer Claim through UAN Member portal?
Universal Account Number (UAN) Member Portal (www.uanmembers.epfoservices.in) was launched in September 2014. This portal offers lot of facilities to EPF subscribers/members.
But, EPF Online Transfer Claim is still not available. For time-being you have to submit online EPF Transfer claims through Online Transfer Claim Portal .
Once this facility is available on UAN portal:
• You can login to UAN member portal
• Add previous Member ID (Previous EPF a/c Member Id)
• Check if you are eligible for EPF online Transfer claim.
• Submit the application (Form 13) through UAN portal itself. (The above mentioned process will be integrated in UAN
portal. This integration work is still under progress and will soon be made available on UAN portal)
• You can check the Online Transfer Claim status too.

It is very difficult to follow up with the previous employer for PF transfers if you do not have any personal contact with them. I have emailed the Form 13 PDF file to the related PF office and talked with the PRO.
