I am currently working in a good software company (y) and planning to look for a job in another company (z). I am sure that once I get any offer letter, I will serve the notice period and get the relieving letter and experience letters from company (y).
But my problem is different.
Before joining company (y), I was working in company (x) for 1 year. Though I myself resigned from company (x), they did not provide the relieving letters, stating that "my previous employment was fake".
Now, my question is after I join company (z):
1) Will they ask for relieving letters from all the companies that I have worked for (companies w, x, y) or only the last company's relieving letters (company y)?
2) What will happen if I say I don't have the relieving letters from company (x) but provide relieving letters from all the other companies I have worked for? Will company (z) remove me from the job or take some action against me?
3) Is it advisable to remove that 1-year experience from my career?
Please advise as your advice can help me in securing a future.

New employers normally ask only for relieving letters from the immediate past employer. Thus, in my opinion, you have nothing to worry about.

Raj has addressed your question. So, if you provide a relieving letter from your current company, it won't be an issue for you. However, all the past records will be advantageous anyway. If possible, visit your previous company and discuss it with them.

Hi, My previous company which didnt provide me the releiving letter was a MNC(CMM-5). So I guess they wont provide the letters. Do you still think that I should give a try?

Most software companies conduct employment verification, and if your previous experience is fake, that can cause trouble for you in your next company. Secondly, if the recruiter from the next company (Z) can waive the requirement for the previous experience letter (that you don't have), then there will not be any problem.
