Good afternoon to all,

My name is K.C. Gopalakrishnan. I have completed an MBA in HR and Marketing. I have recently joined a manufacturing company as a fresher. They are providing training in SAP HR module. I am new to this field and starting without any prior experience. I have been selected for SAP HR, and I am feeling anxious about my future. I am aware that SAP offers a promising career path. Is it advisable for me to begin my career with SAP HR as a fresher?

Thanks & Regards,
K.C. Gopalakrishnan

Yes, Gopala, undoubtedly, it's an excellent HR SAP opportunity as you are getting learning and development exposure along with SAP training absolutely free of cost. SAP is a highly valuable ERP system in the industry. In the future, knowledge of SAP HR could definitely lead you to good job prospects. So, grab this opportunity as a turning point to a good career.

Additionally, manufacturing companies are a good place to start a career because they will provide you with a lot of learning opportunities within HR functions and exposures. See, observe, and judge what different things you can learn from your company's HR setup.

Hi all,

Many of them are saying that SAP HR is useful if they have relevant experience in HR core. Is it true? Because I have started my career in SAP as a fresher without any HR core experience. Waiting for your valuable reply.

Hi Gopala,

I don't have anything specific to SAP HR modules, but you can look forward to learning when they train you. Apart from that, from your company's new colleagues (HR Dept.), you can learn new things in HR like statutory compliances, employee engagement activities, rewards and recognition, Training & Development, Compensation & Benefits administration. Approach all the concerned individuals in the HR dept. and slowly, steadily learn from them. Do not forget to take notes when they describe these important aspects.

Take care. All the best!!
