Hi All,
Hope many of us faced the situation that we need to compromise or not in a situation in Professional life in day to day Practice with Superiors, Peers, Subordinates or any one.
Being kind to another person/respect or valuing their decisions , this sometimes well-meaning kindness can give that person the impression that perceive s/he is weak.Unfortunately, some people confuse truth and tenacity of people and take advantage of them.
It is very hard to decide when to hang tough and when to compromise.
Appreciate your views.

Dear Udaya,
When to compromise and when not to comprise is case specific. There cannot be general rule. Even in Maharbharata, Yudhishthir had told lie during great war. But then it was far larger good and his was very conscious decision. Therefore, please specify what exactly is your challenge. Solution depends on social, economic, cultural, legal, moral factors.
Thanks,

Hi Udaysree,
The decision as to ‘compromise or not’ in any given situation does not have a ready-made solution. As rightly pointed out by Mr Dinesh Divekar you have to consider several factors.
By taking a position you may win or lose or perhaps get into an intermediate stage (again a sort of compromise).
So it is a choice that you have to make considering your stakes. If you stand by your principle you may lose something and might still morally be on a high. If not with a compromise you would have been very practical.
History has shown that people who stand for VALUES do not compromise. These are great people. On the other hand if the loss is going to be materialistic they would not mind to let it go – a compromise. The people who are great will take the loss in their stride.
