Hi! I'm a B.Tech (CSE) graduate from 2011. I have 1 year and 10 months of experience in the IT industry as a Developer. I resigned from my job in April 2014 for personal reasons and appeared for CAT, unfortunately, it didn't go well. So, I'm planning to pursue a distance MBA in HR. Since I want to specialize in HR for my MBA, I am looking for a job as a Recruiter as it will be beneficial for my MBA as well. Despite being a developer, I believe I have a better understanding of technologies and have also obtained some certifications.

I have a few questions:

1. When searching for a job as a Technical Recruiter, will my experience as a developer be considered? Even though it's on the development side, it's still within the IT industry, right?
2. Will being an engineering graduate make me a suitable candidate for a Technical Recruiter position?
3. When applying for a position, should I mention my previous experience, or should I apply as a fresher?
4. Can I get some resume samples?

Thanks.

Hi,

There are few companies that will consider your experience. It is always better to keep the existing experience in your resume, and you have to explain the valid reason at the time of the interview. Being an engineering graduate, there are very few chances to get a job in technical recruitment in good companies. Instead of waiting for good companies, try to get a job in any company, and you will gain the experience. At the same time, it is better to understand the recruitment formalities process and procedures to tackle the interview.
