I am working for an MNC but it is on 3rd party payroll of the company. When I had gone for the interview for applying in this company I had shown my previous experience less by 1 year and it happened mistakely beacause while I was preparing my resume I wrongly typed my starting year of previous job i.e. 2011 instead of 2010 (Actual year on experience letter ) then will it create any problem for me . so I am thinking of informing or notifying my company that it has been shown mistakenly on resume and I can show it with proof i.e. my experience letter . Please suggest should I do this or will it create a problem for me ? what should I do in this case ?

I have not heard of a single case wherein an company has terminated an newly joined employee just because he has produced an experience which is MORE than what he has specified in the resume. However, there have been cases wherein some employees have lost their jobs because they had showed their experience to be more (in their resume) that what it actually was.
So, cool down and just submit your experience letter and politely tell them that you have one year more experience than what you had specified (by mistake) in your resume.

Ravisatale: What Mail8013 is stating is that you should talk to your HR staff, show them your relieving letter as well as your salary slips or bank statements [you can black out the other transactions, barring the part where you show the credit from your employer to you] and let them know there was a slight but genuine error and back it up with a letter stating the same.

I feel instead of merely showing, it is better to give a letter to employer to make necessary corrections in your resume in the official record. Retain acknowledgment of receipt of letter because in future one does not know how things shape. Let the things be made certain now only.

Yes I agree with above, just make a request to the concerned administration team to change the records and you should submit the proof of your total experience. It can be updated in the records only based on your proof of experience if your company is very particular about your background. other wise it can be changed on a formal request by your HR.
