Dear Divakar,
Is there any way I can get hold of this decision of the IT department? More than compensation for retrenchment, the harassment angle is what I am interested in. If she has indeed been compensated for harassment, it would be a landmark decision.

Hello Dinesh,
In my view, HR is the most critical part of the organization that has to play a justified role for all employees, managers, as well as employees. Nowhere should the organization have spurious policies, but HR has to handle them appropriately, being fair to every employee and supporting genuine employees, which will nurture a great company culture.
Taking responsibility and doing the right thing is the action that everyone is looking for.
