I am newly joined with a HR team in a Hospital, eventhough i have completed My masters Degree in Hospital Management i personally feel it would be better if i do a HR specialization degree.Coz i have decided to develop my career in HR field. I don't know which one would be better to go with. is the MBA with HR or PGDHR.

hi skr,
as far as i can suggest.... go in for PGDHR. because MBA course gets updated in 4-5 years...sometimes even 8 years.rather a PDGHR is constantly updated so it facilitatesbetter learning.
i m mysely doing MBA so i can give you a fair idea.....they usually have problems with doing projects and all...if atall you get admission in an mba course..then before joining, evaluate the benifits and the lacune in the university procedures

I disagree...
No doubt that some of the PGDHR might be updated on regular basis but that does not mean that MBA is not updated regularly...
Give me any of the top 50 institutes in India who are not updating their MBA courses every 2 years.... with intermediat inclusions of latest case studies... (as latest as today's news papers) Now can you expect faster update than that...
MBA gives a much broader perspective of Business
PGDHR will give verticle specific knowledge...
It is upto you what you want to do... But in your specific case... I suggest go in for a MBA (hospital management) as it will not only give you enough exposure to the HR management but also to the general management.

Hello skr, For distance education I would recommend IGNOU. There are lots of universities offering distance education pgm. Try for Symbiosis or NMIMS if interested. — — - sree

According to me the MBA by correspondence is no MBA... as at MBA you should not only learn bookish knowledge but also the presentation skills, leadership skills, event management skills and team building and team member skills. This is possible only in full time MBA
Still if you wish to do correspondence... check IGNOU as there's is one of the best...
Better... do some Part time or executive MBA if you are short of time and are already working somewhere...
