I've completed a Technical round in an MNC company through a consultancy on June 24. Still now my profile is on hold. I answered all the questions asked, and the answers were all correct based on my studies. However, I didn't receive any reason for my profile being on hold.
Can anyone answer me? Is it common for an organization to hold a candidate for nearly a month without providing proper feedback? Is there a possibility for them to revisit my application? Whenever I inquire with the consultancy, they respond with the same message, "Your profile is on hold."

Hi,
It is to inform you that some companies take up to two months for the joining process. Please don't wait for the call; be on the safer side and continue searching for a job. You are in a position where you don't have any clarification on whether you have been selected or not. Take it as a negative outcome. I have also worked in consultancy and have had to convey the same message to candidates when they were not selected. Best of luck.

Forget it. Move on. In case they call you, take it as a fresh case then. Amrita is right, except that sometimes correct feedback is not coming from the client itself. Since they are waiting until the selected candidate joins - which could be a month or two - and trying to string along others.

It is possible to 'hold on' you for over a month. There may be more than one reason for this. It could be so that their manpower planning should coincide with the intake of employees, say for a project which takes off only on receipt of their client's WO/PO, or there are other candidates, your competitors ahead of you and you'll get your turn in that order, and you are on the panel and so on. If you consider this post is worthy of waiting, you will wait.
