Dear All,

We have received a notice from ESIC to pay interest and damages for the late payment of ESIC. I need help generating the Challan online. I want to understand which section I should select. Is it C-18, C-18 Adhoc, or D-18? Please assist.

Warm Regards,

Hello Suchithra,

Please follow the path below to generate the challan:

1. Do ESIC employer login.
2. Then, on the right-hand side, click on "Recovery/Defaulter Challan."
3. Go to the defaulter list.
4. Find the section in the list, submit for the challan, and confirm the period with the notice.
5. Generate the Challan.

After paying the challan, immediately submit it to your nearby regional office before the summons date. Once the challan is paid and submitted to the ESIC office, there is no need to attend a hearing.

Dear Madam,

In this case, if the demand has been created by the ESIC department, please log in to the portal and choose the option that has already been filled by the ESIC portal. You are required to select options only, and the required data will automatically reflect on the portal.

I got C-18 Notice for not paying contribution for 6 months. Now I have paid the pending contributions. What is the next step? Do I need to go for hearing? I am currently out of station.
