REWARD OF READING (HABIT)
From: Thiagarajan TVS
Reading habit, cultivated at any age, is also an investment of inestimable value - an investment we can rely on, a resource we can access apace, and a tool we can exploit to enrich our life, regardless of age and environment we live in.
Discipline and devotion to thumb through daily pages of quality prints and periodicals must remain the hallmark of our routine, depending upon our speed-reading and surroundings. Benefits derived from this habit, which can become inveterate, are manifold. Reading rewards us handsomely, with course correction whenever necessary. The journey we embark upon is not unalterable, but when opportunities crop up, we must ready ourselves to change the course.
Reading
· refines us as a person;
· reflects our personality;
· repels our boredom;
· re-invigorates us to reach people and remedy the situation;
· refuels us to be active and to be action-oriented;
· revitalizes our mind to be alert;
· raises our perception;
· re-equips us to handle Corporate barriers;
· replaces ignorance with illumination;
· releases tension and rekindles our spirit;
· remedies relationship rupture;
· restores self-confidence, keeping the fear at bay;
· resurrects our lost hope;
· regales us throughout our life;
· refreshes our jagged nerves and rebuilds our enthusiasm;
· rehabilitates us from a depressed state;
· rejuvenates persons of all ages;
· re-tools us to devise new ways of handling issues artfully rather than embracing status quo; status quo is not sacrosanct;
· re-writes our path to progress, through implementation of shaped ideas; ideas lead to wealth-building;
· readies us with diction for use at appropriate occasions and for appropriate results;
· remains un umbilical cord , to be in touch with Infinite Intelligence;
The benefits of this intangible asset will be pleasing and progressive. All pleasures we seek in life are ephemeral but pleasure we derive from reading is eternal. Don’t expect miracles. An infant does not become an adult in a day!
KNOWLEDGE IS POWER, AND THE POWER DOES NOT MAKE US CRINGE BEFORE ANYONE.
