Hi,
I am Manoj, currently working on third-party payroll for a USA-based company. It was mutually decided that they would give me a flat amount in my hand and would not deduct any charges, and they are only liable to deduct their payroll charges from my salary. Let's say the amount is $40,000, and payroll deductions are 10%, so the salary will be $36,000. I have asked them to provide me with a salary for the same. Now, they are asking me to provide a format for the salary. What kind of format should I send to them, even though I am responsible for all my tax deductions and expenses?
I also have to file ITR, and the authority is asking for salary slips to do the process. Can any professional help me sort out the matter and also help me with the format that would be acceptable in all legal manners?
Thanks & Regards,
Manoj

For filing ITR, salary slips are not required. U need Form 16 from your employer, which contains all the relevant information concerning your taxation.

Apart from what Mr. Dixon had stated, you need to let the forum know the deductions from your salary, the salary breakup, and the investments to calculate the TDS amount. The TDS has to be deducted and deposited by the employer only, not by the employee. Once you receive your Form 16, you can file your ITR.
