I am a Civil Engineer who graduated in 2013. I took a one-year break to prepare for the GATE exam, but unfortunately, I did not qualify. Now, when I apply for any course in a private engineering college, I am asked to provide reasons for the gap. What would be an appropriate reason for this gap, both for academic courses and future job applications?
