Enhancing High Performance Through Organizational Climate Optimization - CiteHR

Creating an Organizational Climate That Stimulates High Performance

I am new to this, and this is my first query. Kindly help me by giving your valuable suggestions on the topic "Creating an organizational climate that stimulates high performance." What changes in the organizational climate should be made to stimulate high performance?

It is not known whether you are an HR professional eager to change the work climate or a student working on a topic for an assignment. If you fall under the second category, I suggest you have an interaction with both HR and line managers of an organization where you find the work environment stimulating to give a practical angle to your topic; otherwise, it remains pedantic. However, there are no secret formulas that can stimulate performance, and they are well known, but what lacks is the will to implement them.

Tips for Observing and Noting Important Factors

1. Observe the culture of the organization. A culture of gratitude and respect will lay the foundation for stimulating performance.

2. Observe the manager-team relations. It is an oft-repeated notion that employees leave managers but not organizations. This is an important factor that stimulates or stifles performance depending upon the quality of relations.

3. How is communication happening? Are the channels of communication direct, free, and open, or is it mute and fearful? Is the manager directly accessible?

4. Observe how the performance evaluation is done and what role an employee plays in it. Whether he is a mere pedestrian or engaged in the process. Is the process done merely for deciding increments, or does an objective evaluation of performance take place?

5. Observe how the organization motivates employees. By rewards, recognition, engagement initiatives, and welfare initiatives? Is it performance-friendly or friends-friendly (only the favored few get it)?

6. Observe what the organization does to promote feelings of ownership and bonding.

You can add any other factors.

All the above factors play a key role in creating stimulating performance.

Hope this helps.
