Dear Sir,

My Introduction. I am a retired Colonel from the Indian Army. Leadership is the basis of the high-class efficiency of the Indian Army, appreciated by all in India and abroad. Numerous books on military leadership exist. You can also get in touch with many retired Armed Forces officers and develop your training program.

An army officer is an appointed leader who persuades the led to undertake tasks that may even lead to the death of any one of them. It is a misnomer that we lead solely because of strict army discipline and that soldiers are punished for disobedience. Punishment is administered only when an individual has repeatedly faltered.

Studying great battles like Kargil can showcase ample leadership qualities demonstrated by the complete hierarchy of the armed forces. From military leadership, one can extract teachings for corporate leadership.

Dear Kallola,

Where are you located? What kind of company are you in? What kind of staff do you have? What are the trades they are working in? For whom do you want to do the leadership training? For every sector, it should be tailor-made; otherwise, it won't suit the needs of the people you are training. For example, training for students will be different from that for teachers. So, draw a skeleton first.

Hi Friend Kallola,

Sometime back, I was also looking for lots of presentations to study and share with everyone. I mostly study from PowerPoint presentations and then use them for training, adding my own examples based on what I am learning.

When searching on Google, I come across many links, which initially left me feeling more confused. Therefore, it is essential to list down what you need and how you can self-learn to enhance your knowledge for training others.

Here are some good links for searching:
1. Slideshare.net
2. Authorstream.com
3. Wiziq
4. citehr.com

I will post more soon.

Thank you,
Binu
