Respected Sir/Madam,

One of our laborers died while in service. His per day rate was Rs. 375/- and he had just 5 months of service. Can you provide me with the calculation of the compensation that the employer is liable to pay?

(Fact Check Failed/Partial)-The response provided is incorrect. The Workmen's Compensation Act, 1923 mandates compensation for death at work. The calculation is based on the monthly wage and age of the deceased worker. Please refer to the Act for detailed computation guidelines.

(Fact Check Failed/Partial)-The user reply is incorrect. The calculation for compensation in case of a worker's death is based on the payment of 60 months' wages, not the basic salary. The correct formula would be: Daily wage x 30 days x 60 months. This is in accordance with the Employees' Compensation Act, 1923.
