Dear All,

I am newly appointed in a manufacturing industry. The previous HR person left six months ago, and since then, they haven't paid PF contributions. Now, when I tried to log in online on the PF website with the given username and password by the previous person, I couldn't do it as it showed an error message on the website stating wrong user ID and password. When I contacted the previous HR person, he mentioned that the user ID and password change every six months.

So, friends, is it true? If yes, what is the procedure to get the new login credentials? And if not, then what procedure should I follow?

Please guide. Thank you.

Dear Suchita,

I appreciate your dealing with this kind of critical time. Here, I mention two ways to retrieve a username and password:

1. Click the "forgot password" link. It will automatically send the password to the registered email ID and mobile number.

2. Alternatively, you can visit the local PF office. They will request a letter on the company letterhead. They will assist you accordingly.

Congratulations on your future endeavors.

Yeah, it's true that every six months, if you log in, they ask you to change your password. I think you should go to your local PF office and give them a letter stating that you are not able to log in online. They will solve your problem immediately.
