My annual CTC and monthly income are not matching. There is an amount for Monthly Gross in CTC which is not the same as the gross amount in my monthly payslip. Monthly gross in payslip = basic + HRA + Conveyance + LTA + Position allowance. The reason for the difference is the Position allowance. This amount has decreased, and hence my monthly amount is lower than what was mentioned in the CTC breakup in the appraisal letter.

My designation has been the same for the past couple of years, and I don't understand why they would decrease the amount. How can such a big gap exist between CTC and the monthly slip? Please help me understand. This is upsetting me and makes me feel like I have been deceived for years without my knowledge.
