Hello Forum,
I worked with my previous employer for 9 years and 2 months. I changed my job and transferred my Employee Provident Fund (EPF) to my new employer. After reading this forum, I discovered another component called the Employee Pension Scheme (EPS). I found out that the pension is measly, and I learned about the process to withdraw it by filling form 10-C (since I had not completed 9 years and 6 months of service).
My only question to the members knowledgeable in this area is: Can I withdraw my EPS even though I have transferred my EPF? I read the entire manual on the EPS website, and I believe I can.
Thank you.

When you transferred your old PF account to the new one, it automatically also transfers your EPS account. However, please check the status. My advice is that it is best to continue EPS as there is a rise in the minimum pension amount on its way. Therefore, withdrawal is not advisable.

In my view, it is better to go for the transfer of EPS. The pension eligibility is 10 years, which will continue if you transfer your fund to the current employer. Further, when your EPF is transferred, in that Form 13 (R), the EPS transfer option is available. I think the same also was transferred to your current employer. Please check once again.

Mr. Kulkarni and Mr. Ganesh, my new EPF statement shows my EPS balance at around Rs 2500 (541 * 4 + one partial month). Hence, I am led to believe my EPS was not transferred along with my EPF. Also, the EPF statement says the date of joining EPS is 2013 and not 2004.
I appreciate you pointing out that the pension amount is going to increase (I think by about 2.5 times). However, I want to encash this money and put it in my PPF account. Can I encash it if my EPS has not been transferred?

Since your PF account has got transferred to a new PF Account, obviously EPS accounts also goes there. Hence now not possible to withdraw your EPS amount.

Hi,
I recently transferred the PF amount from my previous employer to my current employer via Form-13, but my EPS amount was not transferred. I received a response from my previous employer stating that the EPS amount will not be transferred, but they will link the number of years of service.
Please let me know how to check if the EPS amount and the number of years of service are linked or not. Do I need to submit any other form to transfer the EPS amount?

Dear All,
I also transferred my EPF from my previous employer, but when I downloaded the member passbook, the EPS amount did not transfer. I then thought it would be better if I withdrew the EPF amount by filling out Form-19 and 10 C.
