Dear Banerjee,
Thanks for reply
Actualy I want to know that from HR side we gave the gratuity report to accounts department.Accounts department needs data from HR side employee Name,Salary detail,Date of Joining,Sex,Department, bonus detail.Accounts department required this data for gratuity provision.
Now my question is this how we can calculate gratuity provision.
Thanks & Regards

Jagdish,
I think accounts will compute the provision for you.
In general, most companies would opt for an insurance scheme to provide the amount.
If not, then it needs to be done on estimation of what is the gratuity amount payable if all employees were to resign today (or at the end of the year)
The real provisioning involves a lot of actuarial computations, etc which is not in our domain :)

Dear,
The Basic data required is as under as we follow in our industry.
Name, Father's/Husband's name, Employee No., Designation, Date of Birth, Date of Superannuation/Death, total length of service - ......Yrs, .....months, .........days, Gratuity payable for ............days.
Pay particulars of last salary drawn - Basic pay, DA, Other component which is considered as part of salary/wage(like - Non-practicing allowance, U/G allowance etc. in some industries), Total = .........../month, Salary/Wage per day.
Total Gratuity payable = Salary/Wage per day x No. of days for which gratuity payable = Rs..........................(Max. limited to Rs. 10 Lakhs)
Hope this will help you.
Best wishes.
