Dear Shri Rakesh,
The article "Five Steps to an Effective Meeting" posted by you is humorous, thought-provoking, and hits the nail on the head. Plenty of precious hours go wasted in ill-prepared and poorly conducted meetings. On top of it, it is sad that issues remain unresolved. All the observations made by you are very relevant in an Indian context. Thanks for the post.

Mr. Rakesh,
First of all, I appreciate your effort. This is a professional website, so do not use SMS-type keywords in this forum (like "Guys," "regds").
In today's scenario, this is also one type of job portal. Many companies are conducting surveys on a particular user's profile; they are viewing user profiles, posts, forums, etc. The use of such keywords can have a negative impact on your profile.
I hope you understand what I am trying to convey!

Fantastic presentation, Rakesh. Apparently, there are some companies in the West who do not have chairs in their conference rooms. This inadvertently reduces the amount of time spent in meetings. :D A bold move, but it helps improve productivity.
Hi Anand,
Thank you for the feedback. Yes, that is true, we do use the same concept in India in some of our workshops as well! The concept is called a Standup Meeting, and there are some recent studies showing actual improvement in productivity when using it! :-)

The presentation really has valid points to consider for an effective team meeting. I would like to make it mandatory for all team members to attend, with enough notice given. Team members should be notified at least a week in advance, or a couple of days if it's an urgent matter. Additionally, alerts should be sent to remind them. If the topic is lengthy, it would be better to break it into smaller subjects and conduct a series of meetings over a couple of days.
