Dear Swathi,
Your question is not meaningful, as you have not provided any details about your years of experience in HR or your educational background.
Becoming an HR Manager depends on your dedication to the job responsibilities.
Thanks and regards,

Hi, I have 2 years and 5 months of experience in HR and Business Development. I started my career as an HR/BD Executive.
1) In the first company, I worked in an e-learning company as a BD Executive.
2) In the second company, I worked as an HR/BD Executive in a consultancy company. My role included recruitment, payroll processing, business development, and lead generation.
3) Currently, I am working in a training institute as an HR/BD professional. I serve as an in-house recruiter, placement coordinator, and HR for a newly established consultancy within my training institute.
I am seeking suggestions on how to secure a job in the IT or manufacturing industry focusing purely on HR-related roles. I am not inclined towards working as an HR recruiter due to discomfort with continuous calls and target-oriented tasks. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Saranya

Go to the HR manager's room and peek into his system. Watch your manager and observe what he is doing for at least one month. Take note of whom he is meeting, what he is talking about, how he is behaving towards employees, and the strategies he is implementing. Spend one month shadowing your manager, and you will learn everything firsthand.

I can say, it's your professional qualifications, skills, working experience, and capability to handle responsibilities. People management can help you become an HR Manager. If you are an HR executive, keep learning about HR and people management from your seniors. Learn how they handle critical situations related to HR; this will surely help you in your professional career.
Also, when you have a few years of experience, you can apply for the role of HR manager if you meet the eligibility criteria specified by other companies.

Dear Swathi, As mentioned above also, there is no thumb-rule for becoming a Manager. But still you should give yourself some time before you really think that you are a manager material. Shikha

Hi Swathi,
Our seniors have given you good answers. But i would like to add some point may it helps you out.
Points:
1. Higher Qualifications and Practical Knowledge.
2. For becoming HR Manager,Person need to be self motivated. And should have (calmness and flexibility)
3.I would not say Excellent communications but what i realized,Communication should be clear, soft, precise,Effective and most important should be qualitative.
4.Have to provide high quality leadership to the HR Operations Unit and HR’s capacity to meet current and future needs.
Moreover HR is a very wide field.... HR has to be diplomatic....in certain ways....

Dear Swati,
At the initial stage of our careers, we are concerned about our profile and the knowledge we possess, not just the designation. I have observed many friends who hold higher positions but, in reality, perform tasks similar to those of a senior or assistant due to power dynamics or other reasons.
I feel that the designation is not as crucial as the type of work you are engaged in and at what level. That is what truly matters.
Please share your thoughts.
