Dear Friend,
In any factory employer may take maximum work for 54 hours in a week though out of which six hours would be overtime.
In general employer many not take work for over 48 hours in a week in any factory or shop or commercial establishment in Delhi.
Please read Section 51 and 54 of Delhi Factories Rules, 1950 which states the following:
"Hours of work (Adults). Sections 51 and 54- No Adult worker shall be required, or allowed to work in a factory for more than 48 hours in any week and for more than 9 hours in any day, or with the previous approval of the Chief Inspector, the daily maximum specified in Sec. 51 may be exceeded in order to facilitate the change of shifts."
Warm regards,
