Please find attached Employment Exchanges (Compulsory Notification of Vacancies) (Amendment) Bill 2013 as introduced in Rajya Sabha on 22.4.2013. The Bill inter-alia provides for:
- Change of term 'employment exchanges' with 'employment guidance and promotion centres' throughout the Act.
- Establishment in the private sector – will now cover employing 10 or more persons (raised from 25 or more persons)
- Insertion of the definition of plantation
- Obligation of the employer to furnish information pertaining to selection against vacancies under the Act.
- Making penalty provisions more stringent
- Bringing public and private limited companies offering employment opportunities under the Act
