Dear Sir,

I need clarification related to PF withdrawal of an employee who has completed 12 years in one organization. This employee has applied for PF withdrawal. His PF withdrawal has been credited to his bank account, but his pension amount is yet to be credited. My query is, will he not get his pension amount at one go from the PF office? And what is the rule and procedure to withdraw the same from the PF office.

Thanks & regards,
Judith - Mumbai

As per PF act, in case of withdrawing PF, you have to wait upto 60 days. In case you want to transfer PF to your new organization, you can transfer it immediately through your new employer.

Dear Mr. Judit,

PF pension can be withdrawn only if your PF service is less than or equal to 10 years. After 10 years of PF service, PF pension cannot be withdrawn in one go. You have to fill up Form 10-C and submit it to your concerned RPFC. After a certain period of time, you will receive a Scheme Certificate. You can submit the Scheme certificate to your new employer so that your PF pension amount will be transferred to your new company.

If you are not joining any company, you have to wait until you reach 58 years of age. After you attain 58 years, you have to submit the Scheme certificate to your concerned RPFC, and they will send you the pension amount as per your choice (monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, or yearly) and so on.

Recently, I joined a new company. In my previous company, I have the PF account number. What are the steps to transfer my PF amount? Also, please inform me of the transfer steps that will help me. If I deposit the amount, will any charges apply for that? Please inform.

Thank you.

Dear Mr. Jilanisk29,

You need to fill out Form 13 and submit it to your current (New) employer. Your old employer has nothing to do with the transfer of PF balance. You can download the form from www.epfindia.com/forms/13revised.PDF.

Thank you.

Dear Jilanisk29,

You need to fill Form 13-A (which will be available on the RPFC website), have it signed by your current employer, and send the form (in duplicate) to your previous employer. Your previous employer will then transfer your PF accumulations to your current employer. No charges will be levied for depositing this amount. The amount will be transferred in favor of your current Regional PF Commissioner and not in your name.

Dear All,

I had resigned from the organization in June 2012 and applied for PF withdrawal in July. However, to date, I have not received my PF amount. Whenever I consult with the concerned person from my previous company, they always say to wait for one month, but it has been more than 8 months now.

Please suggest the next course of action.
