Hi Seniors,
I request you to clarify the notice period if payable from the employee's side. I have left the company without a 1-month notice period, and now they are asking me to pay the same. Until then, my final settlement and PF have been held.
My CTC was 28000, but my net was 23190/- after deducting a medical claim of Rs. 1250, professional tax of Rs. 200, and a PF deduction of 3360/-. Now the company is asking me to pay 28000/-. Please clarify why I should have to pay for the other components too when I have already left the company.
I appreciate your quick reply.
Thanks, Andrews

Dear Member,
If you are a confirmed employee, you should give one month notice pay (notice pay mentioned in the appointment letter). If you are in probation, then you do not need to give one month notice pay. You should give them one month's basic salary; other components should not be included in the notice pay.
