Thank you very much, Bhakti. I have noticed that in this organization, employees are working 9.5 hours every day with no Saturday off. However, many people, especially female candidates, have requested fewer working hours and a longer lunch break as the current break is only 15 minutes. Therefore, all employees are asking me to make changes, suggesting at least a 30-minute lunch break. I feel the need to discuss this with management, but I have recently joined, and this is a family business. I am a bit confused about whether they will agree to these changes. I have informed the employees to give me some days. Please guide me.

Hi,

Normal working hours (Sec. 8) are 9 hours a day / 48 hours a week. Opening hours should not be before 8 AM and closing hours should not be after 6 PM. If your company falls into this bracket, then it is acceptable.

Rest (Sec. 10) includes 1/2 hour each day, with the period of continuous work not exceeding 5 hours.

Spread over (Sec. 11) should be 10 1/2 hours, including an interval for rest.

Overtime (Sec. 8) should not exceed 54 hours, including normal working hours in a week. Overtime should also not exceed 150 hours a year.

Close Day (Sec. 16) mandates that there should be one close day every week. Overtime is compulsory if it exceeds the above-mentioned hours.

Thank you.
