Hello,
This is Syeda, and I want some more knowledge or clarity on Scheme Certificate issued by RPFC.
As per my knowledge an employee while in service can apply for Scheme Certificate in RPFC after completing 10 years of service.
Can anyone help me out on this query.
Thanks in advance.

It is not mandatory that one should complete 10 years for obtaining Scheme certificate whereas for those who have attained 10 years of PF membership taking Scheme Certificate is the only option when he leaves the company. An employee who has put put in 10 years of service may opt for scheme certificate in lieu of withdrawal benefit of the pension fund contributed by the employer. If he desires so, he will be given a certificate which mentions his service with the company which can be surrendered to the EPF through company he joins later on and by that he can take his past service to his credit for calculating pensionable service. If the holder of the Scheme Certificate dies before joining another company, his spouse and children will get pension.
