(Fact Check Failed/Partial)-The deduction for Labour Welfare Fund is not a common practice in all states, including Andhra Pradesh. There is no specific Labour Welfare Fund Act applicable in A.P. Thank you for your input!

  • Dear Avinash,
The following are the statutory deduction in the salary calculation.
    PF, ESI, PT, IT(TDS), LWF.
Apart from this other deduction which can be shown is Loans, Salary Advance, Mobile, datacard, Cashier shortage(Applicable in retail sector). Due to the space constraint & common payslip format most of the company show this in other deduction.

    Dear Mr. Saikumar
In Andhra Pradesh the Labour Welfare Fund is only Rs. 7 per head / per year (Employer-Rs.5/- and Employee-Rs.2/-). So normally for this less amount the company engaging the workers are directly paying to Labour Welfare Commissioner without deducting the same from the workers.

    Dear Avinash
Nothing except the PF, ESI, PT and IT will be deducted from the salary of the employee. In case of any other deduction you must get the concurrence from the employee before effecting the deduction like Voluntary PF, LIC, Mediclaim Policy, Loan Repayment, etc.

  • I do not think whether rhere is any other deduction. Please verify the Building and Construction Workers Act or Interstate Migrant Workers Act also, since you are a construction company.
