File Type: pdf Increase in DA of Central Govt employees from 1.7.2012.pdf (941.9 KB, 274 views)

Since 2012 no one has used this form. I am starting a new discussion in this forum as under:-
New discussion of announcement/ calculation of Dearness allowances by central Govt. As every body know that D.A. is based on the market strategist. Retail rates in the market are increasing day by day. Almost ration budget of all the consumer has been raised about 50 % of all the families in the two years of Modi's Government, but rates of increase in D.A. is being decreased.Where in the earlier years D.A. raised by the Central Government 10 to 12 %, in Modi Government it decreased to 2 % for July 2016. Though it minor effect on Private sector, but effects on millions employees of central and state governments.
Any body may the formulae of D.A. calculations by the earlier Government and Modi Government.

1. Sir, I think, earlier to January, 2016 the rate of increase in DA was being calculated based on recommendations of 6th Pay Commission which was effective w.e.f. January, 2006. Now, the Government has merged such increase in DA upto January, 2016 ( approx. 125%) with the basic pay. Hence now there is less %age of Dearness Allowance as declared by the Govt.
2. Further, I understand that the increase in DA is based on the increase in prices as observed by the appropriate Govt. during a specific period. It is accordingly less or more depending upon increase of prices during such specific period as reported by concerned agencies.

1. Sir, for basis of calculations of DA etc., you can download necessary literature/information from the relevant websites of 6th & 7th Pay Commissions, orders issues by Central Govt.Finance Ministry etc. and also from Central Gov. Employees' News.
2. Do you feel that present Modi Govt. is having separate policies in respect of Central Govt. Employees as compared to earlier Govts ?
