Yes,She is.Moreover,the benefits payable to the concerned shall be taken care by the ESIC department itself with submission of requisite sets of documents by the concerned and authenticated by the employer.

Even if you are not covered under ESI, you can, irrespective of your designation, claim maternity leave of 12 weeks with wages under Maternity Benfit Act 1961ofwhich 6 weeks shall precede the expected date of delivery and 6 weeks thereafter.
