Hello Sir,

My query is :My Basic Salary was 120600 and monthly deduction was 1206.

I received amount for EPF i.e. (21518+66630)

I am clear on the second part i.e. 6630 for pension.

Is this first Part i.e. 21518 also correct?

As it include 14472+7980 +interest

Hence I think it is not the correct amount.

Please let me know
  • What It should be?
  • How do we calculate it including interest?
I am making this query for more clarification and also providing details for previous discussion.

I have given full attendance every month to the employer for every month. I did not take any LWP. I took only Earned leave and casual leaves and it is a part of company's leave policy.

• I worked from 6th April 2011 to 6th April 2012 i.e. exactly 1 year.

• I did not receive any Form-3A submitted by company mentioning there is "No" Non-Contributory period /Days(NCP) in Coloumn during the year.

• Is this El or CL is considered to be NCP?

• If not then please let me know what amount should I receive for Employee Provident fund if it Include (A+B) AND Interest i.e. (14472+7980) & interest as it was mention in your previous reply.

• My company's EPF office is located in TAMBARAM IN Tamil Nadu and I am residing in Noida and was employed in Noida branch of the company.

• My PF a/c No. is TN/TAM/30027/24240. It was settled on 20th July 2012

• I tried to get contact with the shared service of the company; however they did not provide any appropriate response and suggested to fill the grievance.

• Even I did not get any satisfactory response of grievance as well

I need a clarification on the first part of the PF that goes to Employee provident fund. I am clear on the second part that is EPS or pension fund.

So please review my query and let me know what should be the actual amount for EPF A/C with interest separately (apart from pension)?

I had filled grievance twice for the same query and did not receive any appropriate response. I tried to call over phone on the given no. in grievance for EPF query. However no one receive my call.

I am really concerned about my PF amount

Please also let me know how can I contact to EPF office for settlement of PF as I am not able to communicate because EPF office is located in Tamil Nadu(Tambaram).

Please do the needful ASAP!

With Regards

Kanchan

Hi Kanchan,

The amount stated here is quite confusing. You mentioned that your basic salary is Rs. 120600/- (this is your annual basic pay, if I am not wrong), and based on this, your monthly basic salary would be Rs. 10050/-. From this amount, your PF contribution of Rs. 1206/- (your share) and 1206 (employer share) will be deducted. The employer share will be divided into two parts EPF+FPF, totalling 665+541= 1206 (EPF 3.67% & FPF is 8.33% of either Basic or ceiling wage, whichever is lower).

According to the details provided by you, you have worked there exactly for one year, and your deduction towards PF was Rs. 1206/-. Following this, you will receive a sum of Rs. 28944+ interest, which will be divided into two parts as Provident Fund & Pension Fund (22452+6492= 28944).

Therefore, based on all the information you have provided, a sum of Rs. 22452+6492= 28944 should be transferred to your account.

Please ensure that the amount mentioned or received is accurately recorded. If any day in the whole year is marked as LOP/LWP, this amount may not match the PF calculation. Therefore, double-check the amount you have received, and the final amount to be transferred to your account should be Rs. 22452+6492= 28944 (this calculation applies if you have worked for the whole year or 365 days).

Good Luck!!!

Hi,

I appreciate your response for solving my query. I would like to inform you that I had not taken any leave without pay (LWP) or loss of pay (LOP) the whole year. As you have mentioned that the amount for the provident fund should be correct. However, in my opinion, interest should also be included for the provident fund.

I have marked the correct amount here that I received, i.e., 21518 + 6630. So, please let me know the exact amount, including interest given on it, as I did not take any LOP or LWP throughout the year.

Kanchan

then you must receive Rs 22452+interest, you can do one thing, go to your companies HR team again ask them for 3A (2011- 2012 & 2012- 2013), then you will get all the mentioned on it. Nandan Negi

With reference to the last email by Nundun Negi for my PF A/C? TN/TAM/30027/24240 I have send a request for E-passbook to EPF Office. I have send this request on 18/08/2012. However it is still pending. Can I send a reminder to them. If yes then tell me the procedure.

I also contact with my company’s shared service and according to them my contribution to Employe Provident fund is R.s 22378 and it is Rs. 860 less then the actual amount credited i.e (14472+7980) or 12% of employee and 3.67% of employer; as deduction from r My basic Salary i.e. Rs. 1206/PM.

The detail provided by company’s shared service for contribution is given below:

Hence it is quite clear from the given data that in the amount received( Rs. 21518) Rs. 860 is less from the actual contribution and no interest was paid by the EPF office for this account.

So please let me know what I need to do to eceive the remaining balance including interest from EPF office.

Please also Let me know what Should be the actual amount including the interest if contribution is Rs. 22378.

Hi Kanchan,

Regarding the matter you mentioned, you have sent a request letter to the PF office, which is good. However, the remaining amount, Rs. 860 plus interest totaling around Rs. 1000-1200, has not been received yet.

As you have not received any notice from them regarding your request, please note that being a government organization, it may take time to settle this amount. Continuous follow-up with the organization is necessary to ensure you receive the outstanding amount.

The question here is the cost involved in sending request letters and maintaining continuous follow-up. There is a possibility that you may end up spending more than the amount you are supposed to receive. If they are not responding to letters, you might have to visit the PF office in person to settle this matter. Alternatively, you may need to coordinate between your company and the PF office for necessary form submissions to address the incomplete receipt of PF contributions.

I am not suggesting that you should refrain from taking action, but it is important to consider that the process could be time-consuming and may involve additional expenses.

Good Luck!
