I am working on a project to increase retention among IT employees. I need to find the best retention strategies. Any and all opinions and advice is appreciated! Thanks!

In my view, the organisation needs to provide a stimulating work environment where in the employee can learn, grow and contribute to the value of the organisation and due recognition thereof. that means you need to provide opportunities to him to learn through training and develop through mentoring and coaching and allow him adequate freedom to innovate in his work that can add value to the organisation and recognise his contribution.

Now a days, in IT industry it is very difficult to devise any Retention Policy,Which can hold back the employees for long. The industry is very competitive now. However, name, values and career concerns of the IT company will pay in the long run.A good work culture also weighs in the minds of the employees alongwith recgnition & rewards.
Thanking You.

Dear Megan,
You could have given little more information like why are you asking this query? Are you student or professional? Are you a consultant? What is the present attrition rate in your company? What is the latest attrition rate in IT industry in your country and so on. You have not disclosed properly your name also.
You could have referred past threads of similar discussion. Anyway, you can refer my past replies. The links are as below:
