Hi dude,
I ve completed MBA in Human Resource Management 2009 & worked as HR Executive in an software concern since oct 2009 where i was not learnt anything abt HR activities practically. With my theoretical knowledge i ve struggled a lot an found a job in manufacturing company by May 2011. Its a concern with 300 employees & i was taken as a Head of HR department. Here i came across all HR activities like statutory compliance, pay roll administration, employee engagement, grievance handling, ISO & all. Rite from the beginning i don find any professional ethics in the company. since i love my job i bared all pressures & harassment. But wen i feel it as crossing the limit i quieted the job by june 2011 & nw i m looking for a new job.
So frnds suggest me in this situation if i get a job & if i supposed to get a question on quitting the job before getting an alternative wat shld i say??? whether the truth r i ve to hide it & say something.

Well, I m unable to understand why did you left your job from mfg. company? Just due to work pressure? What type of harrasment you were facing their...please explain it first?
Whatever be the reason, you should leave the job after getting another opportunity. Work pressure is normal for all the profiles nowadays, whether it is HR or any other profile. Regarding harassment, first of all I need to understand what type of harrassment you have faced their....after then only I can be able to say anything else.

Hi Bhawna,
ya i accepting wat ever u said. even me too l keep saying this to al my friends & relatives. so didnt come out jus bcoz of pressure. i came out oly because i don wan to loose my dignity. actually i m the younger person carry higher position in that company. so rite from beginning every1 wanted to corner me. bt with the help of one senor person i could able to overcome all my struggles. My chairman does nt ve any professionalism. whoever it may can go and meet him directly without the knowledge of HR. likewise a pblm occurred btwn me & driver. that guy ve directly went to chairman & told something. hearing that guy's words he ve questioned me by placing me in the center of the hall & used some bad words too. every1 was noticed that. after this oly i ve quited my job. so plz tel me nw wat shld i do..

Dear AGB,

Your boss insulted you with bad words in front of employees that is not right any way.But as a HR person you should understand the psychology of both employer and employee. As you mentioned you have not learned anything in your first co. and you are not much experienced for the post of Hr head in your last co..

From career point of view you had to be with that manuf. co. atleat for a year. You had to be patience and should bring your boss into confidence for no such mistake in future. But you had left.

Now FORGET PAST....

Take it positively and be cautious about your career.

No one in this world is perfect. You will be an expert one day...depends how you will make it.You are a MBA passout. No doubt you are qualified. When you are fresher your qualification matters in your resume but when you are experienced practical exposure matters.

Point out your strengths and weaknesses in your past job descriptions.Make a note on that and initiate to learn more on those subjects. You can enhance your knowledge by reading hr journals,Cite hr threads which are practical, ask to seniors if any doubt.Further improve your hr image & prepare for questions & answers about your past career.

Wish you all the best.
