SCMLD, Pune, is another initiative in the field of management education by Prof. M. S. Pillai, Former Director of SCMHRD, Pune, after his separation. The institute was established in July 2005. It offers a PGDM program in Marketing, HRM, Finance, IT & Systems, and Manufacturing & Operations Management.
SCMLD owes its origin to the emotional energy, spirit, and the physical, financial, and material initiatives initially of 152 and now more than 1000 former students of a teacher, for him to carry on with the work which helped them stand out being continuous learners, adaptive, genuine, responsible, dedicated, proactive, capable, and exemplary. This is the only institute in Asia, may probably be the first in the world, which has been backed by Alumni of SCMHRD who attribute their personal success in the Corporate World to Prof. M. S. Pillai, who was the founder-Director of SCMHRD, and have committed to him both financially and otherwise to start this institute. I am sure the students from SCMLD would do well under Prof. M. S. Pillai, who ensures the students go through the grind and rigorous schedule to make them better Managers!

Hi, I am hearing a lot about Mr. Pillai and SCMLD. I would like to pursue an MBA from a good college. Please assist me with SCMLD's MBA, which they offer from IGNOU. I am in a completely confused state of mind as IGNOU offers only distance MBA. I am unsure about the validation of this course. Please help.
