Hi Friends,
It is a humble request to all those who have written exam for both the sets--Set 1 and 2 to please provide us with few pointers and if possible, sample questions which have been coming in exam year after year.
It shall be of great help if we can know which all questions are of high frequency and are expected in papers, in both the sets--Set 1 and 2.
Thanks in anticiaption.

Hey Dinakaran,
Thanks a lot for sharing the papers. Hope you must have performed well in them. Did you go through previous years' questions papers? If Yes, did you find any similarity in the questions in terms of the questions being asked by tweaking them a little?
Would that be sufficient if we just prepare for the questions from these question papers along with the questions from the assignments? A reply to this question shall be of much help as the course is vast and it's a challenge to complete all the books while you are working.
Further, I' ve see that the papers are for 80 marks, I presume that the remaining 20 marks will be for the written assignments we've submitted. How many marks are we supposed to score (from 20 and 80 separately) in order to clear the diploma with distinction.
A response shall be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Sharad
PS: Others who have written the papers please pour in with your valuable suggestions, feedback, ideas to enable us to score well in the upcoming exams.

SHARAD,
Do mainly read the questions in the response sheet and mostly questions come from that only. They may ask the same question in different manner. For examination point of View papers V VI, VII, and VIII are easier than I, II, III, and IV. Mostly some of the questions are repeated like Needs Theory by several experts in OB, On job training, off-job training, Training process, steps in implementing training, Evaluation of Training concepts by experts etc.
The exams will be easier for you as you might have read in your previous academic sessions. Do make not of the heading subheading and present them with sketches and illustrations rather than writing as a paragraph.
This is my view about ISTD Examinations.
Note: You can just search you tube for video classess on certain topics this might be more interesting and easy way for learning.
Hope the above discussion might be of use for your exams. If there is any further queries please do not hesitate to discuss.

Thanks... :) But, tell me frankly how much time and preparation is required for preparing for the 8 papers? I'm planning to write all 8 papers in December, 2012; I need to plan and study accordingly.
How and where from did you prepare for the case studies? Sorry, i am asking you too many questions, but it's just that I'm quite adamant to write all the papers in 1 attempt this December. So trying to gather as much information as I can.

It is not a better idea to write all paper at go.
1. You will exams on morning and afternoon of every day.
2. You won't be able to write four days like this. As you will suffer from severe handpain.
3. spend a hour daily, to go through headings, subheadings, and main points and definitions.
4. You can write all at a go provided you possess robotic hand. To be frank Papers I, II, III are different papers IV and V are similar, in the same way papers VII and VIII are similar and simple. ISTD can brief the course in to five papers instead of 8 papers.
