Hi,
I am a B.Tech fresher and I have signed a bond of 2.5 years with a company which includes 6 months of training and a job confirmation after those 6 months. The bond is worth 3 lakh and was signed on a Rs 10 non-judicial paper.
It states that the trainee has taken a loan from the company for the training, and if the trainee leaves or is terminated by the company, they are liable to recover the amount.
Apart from that, a stipend of Rs 5000 is being paid to trainees, out of which Rs 600 is being deducted as PF, though we do not have any account. It is paid in cash. The training is of lesser value, just spending time in front of the system. After 1 month of my joining, some trainees joined my team with a different offer letter and a different bond clause. When I raised this issue with HR, I was humiliated and spoken to in a misbehaving manner. Following this, my HOD told me that if I had issues working there, I could be relieved of the bond. However, when I submitted my resignation, I was threatened regarding the bond, though I received a relieving letter subject to the clauses of the bond. Soon after, I also received a letter stating that I have some overdue amount on my account.
Please help me. I left because I was frustrated, not because I got a better opportunity. I didn't even complete my training period.
Help me regarding what I can do in this situation.

What kind of clause is mentioned in the BOND?
Are you saying that you do not hold a PF account and still the deductions are happening? In such a case, the company is committing fraud.
What kind of letter did you receive, is it a legal notice? Need to know more.

Thank you for showing concern.
Out of the many clauses, one of them states that if you are terminated, the company can still recover the money from the trainee. This clause was modified for trainees who joined later, to which I objected.
Another clause mentions that the trainee has agreed to bear the expenses of the training that the company pays as a loan to the trainee. Is it possible for a loan to be taken without my knowledge just by signing a bond paper?
We receive a stipend in cash, and some amount of PF is deducted, which we receive after confirmation. When I inquired about my PF number, they did not disclose it. We do not have any account with the company.
As I was out of town, I did not receive the letter, but it was not a legal notice.
Upon leaving, I was threatened regarding signing a bond and going to court.
I genuinely believe this company is not safe for women, given the humiliation and other incidents.
I want to take a stand against this injustice, but I do not want to be dragged into courts and all that.
Please advise.

I suggest that you relax and do not panic. All this should have been thought about before signing the bond. And if someone has misbehaved with you - that could have been brought to the notice of others. However, since you have signed the bond, you are liable to it. The best way I would recommend to sort out the issue would be to approach the organization and talk this out. Instead of a reactive approach, you should take a proactive approach to resolve this. Since you have been with the organization for only a month, they might be liberal.

Thank you for your advice on this matter. As far as misbehavior is concerned, the company is aware of this issue, but not writing it in the email was my fault. I have been working here for 5 months and I am unsure of how much liberty I can take. I will try to resolve this matter amicably.
Thank you.

Hi,
I found a registered AD from the company which stated my unauthorized absence from my duties, which is not true. It also says that I need to visit the office and pay the bond amount, or legal action will be taken. This letter was found lying near my house, maybe received by security personnel. It is an unsigned letter from their side from the HR.
Meanwhile, I have dropped them an email stating my reasons for resignation and telling them that I can rejoin if given training.
What should be done - wait for the reply to the email or go to the office? Is it serious or just a formality from the organization?
Sir, please guide.
