Dear All,
As a proactive measure in our company we have started Disposing e-waste in eco-friendly matter since 2010 when the e-waste Draft rules were published.
We have already applied for e-waste while we submitted the application for renewal of our consent to operate well in advance in Oct 2011.
The costs of e-waste disposal are estimated to be Rs. 2.0 Lacs per annum.
We have taken objective to reduce over all costs of Disposal of Hazardous wastes by Rs. 10.0 Lacs. There fore the increased cost of e-waste gets compensated with the redection in Generation of Hazardous wastes and its disposal cost.
I appeal everybody to give thoughts to reduce the hazardous wastes, which usually is a neglected area.
Thanks & Regards,
Sudhir

Dear All,
Please find attached herewith the list of authorized e-waste recyclers in Maharashtra.
I have experienced that usually the Managements have a focus on Compliance but many times the middle management ignore such compliances because of increased costs.
I have read in Times of India some times in 2004 that India is becoming a Global Dump Yard. Similarly I remember that Japan refused help from other contries except from "Particular Medicines" only because it never wanted to become a Global Dumping Yard.[/COLOR]. After earthquake followed by Tsunami last year.
Let us try compliance and encourage others in the National Interest.
Thanks & Regards,
Sudhir

Dear Mr.Sudhir, Now I am taking this initiative in my organisation. Kindly advise me further how to get this included in consent. Provide me if any formates required. Thanks in advance. Regards, SSM

Dear SSM,
At least in Maharashtra there is no such format.
What I did is applied while consent renewal.
I applied for consent renewal some where in Oct 2011, however as the rules were effective from May 2012, the State Pollution Control Boad has not given any directives as regards to e-waste.
However our disposal is to authorised parties filling all necessary forms as appearing in the original posr of Mr. PCA.
In case you require any more inputs, you may mail me on my personal id, as I can not share some data on this forum.
Thanks & Regards,
Sudhir
