I have one query regarding Gratuity.
Actually I have joined one firm recently, they cut my salary by the name of gratuity, even if I haven't completed my 5 years yet in this organization.
Please tell me Can they do that? Can they cut down my salary by the name of Gratuity Reimbursement.

Dear Shweta,
I feel the above provision is not a deduction towards Gratuity. Because gratuity is a benefit to be provided by the employer in addition to the salary without any contribution from employees.
But this benefit may be shown in the CTC.
