Dear ,
JD is an extension of KRA /KPI ( Balance Score Card) hence first freeze the KRA weight age of each KRA .below are the parameters for setting BSC :
1. The KRA minimum should be 7 and Maximum can not go beyond 10
2. the total of all KRA should be 100%
3.Target should be achievable
4. In case of Store Staff try to keep measurable targets e.g. Conversion Rate ( No of Footfalls/No of Bill cut)
below are the KRA fort any Retail format :
>Sales target Vs. Achievement
>Stock Rotation
>Product Availability
> Customer feedback
Etc . hope this will give you some insight to set the KPI .

Dear Prashant,

I have few queries in the JD that you have prepared.

Point No 7 says "Material shortage intimation to Supplier as we as correction in invoice". Why stores executive will interact directly with suppliers? Don't you have Purchase Department?

JD does not talk about
:

a) Maintaining inventory accuracy

b) Fire and safety measures

c) Reduction in human movement by arranging the stores layout

d) Disposal of obsolete inventory (obsolete is different from scrap)

e) Broadly, stores professionals duties are classified under five heads viz. Receipt of Material, Inspection of Material, Issue of Material, Verification of Stores and Materials Controls. Your JD does not have clarity on these five heads.

My objective of writing above was to help you in improvising the JD and not to find faults in the work what you have done.

I am writing this as I often conduct the training programme on "Stores Management" and it is for managerial level.

Thanks,
