Hello Sir/ Madam,
I have completed my B.tech graduation in 2009. Then I was joined in BPO sector in March 2010. Till November 2011 i was worked on that BPO. Then I got job offer in my IT field as a fresher. My notice period was 2 months in that bpo. but the new company told me to join with in a week. i didn\'t have any option. But i didn\'t tell the truth. i told that i am unable to continue that job due to health issue. Till last i can\'t get relieve properly. they didn\'t allow me to relieve. so i absconded from that bpo. i cant get my 20 months experience certificate from that bpo. is there any problem in my future because career breakage is 2.5 years??

One thing I wanna know from your..do you really required this 20 Months experience certificate today or want to get your dues…
Well yes this can be a big problem for you in future while "Employee background verification" by your future employers otherwise there is nothing to worry about.
One more thing, have you included this 20Months experience in your CV, if yes then be ready to face the questions of recruiters because you may have to answer your recruiters about this.
And lastly, I wud suggest you to please don’t ever repeat this. If one wanna early leave need to convince your superiors/seniors with whatever reason but have have to put forward the resignation

If your current company does not have a problem then why are you worried. It will become a problem only if you leave this current company in a similar manner. You will not have to hide this experience.

Thanks all. Absconding that's not my intention. my situation was like that. Current company does not have a problem.Even Future also i don't want that bpo experience. But future company will ask what you did for 2.5 year after completing your degree?.
At that time what i have to say? shall i tell the truth or hide that bpo experience?

You still not answered my question about adding this experience in your CV. You did or not? if yes, this you need to understand or accept that you may have to answer the same bcz this is not a question about few months, its 2.5 years which is a big thing.
There is an options for you...you can use this 2.5 years as employed with BPO. You can say that you were out of job for some education/course/study purpose and for this you have to join the BPO so that you can manage your expense and later you found that you have to go back to your own field of work as per your career need and educational background. By doing this you can convince the recruiters but you have to be confident in your answers..
Hope you'd like this idea because by doing this, you can get the solution of your problem and can solve the problem of adding of this BPO experience or not
But the most important thing that you should not take it too serious and have to concentrate on your present work with keep this in your mind This will help you in a mindset and prepare for the future answers in this regard.

Thanks a lot for your help Anil. I was added that experience in my CV. But that BPO experience was not considered. I was joined as fresher. My current employer was asked about Relieving letter for that BPO. But i told all truth. He told "you joining as a fresher so it is not need. But for your future company you have to manage".

Second, as you know that this experience letter is not demand of present employer then you should not think too much about it.. I have gone thru your all story and concern, subsequently i replied you in my recent reply that you can follow if you feel good.

Dear friends,
I am in a very need of help and very upset too. I was working with a well-known BPO for 1 year and 2 months approx for my expense and study needs, and meanwhile with that money, I did some courses for IT since I graduated in Btech. While working in the BPO itself, I got an IT job which clearly fits my IT needs and the studies I pursued while working in the BPO.
The IT job I secured is with a world-class company (I don't want to disclose the company name but it's well known to almost all IT professionals). I requested immediate relief from the BPO and tried to negotiate a buyout which they did not accept. They insisted that I work for at least 1 more month with no buyouts. I am very confused.
The catch is I need to join the IT company within 5 days of the offered date; otherwise, they will retract the offer. I was elated at that moment and promptly joined the IT company. Now, it has been 3 years, and I am trying to switch to a new company, which is also a very prominent one, as I have received an offer. However, during the background verification process, it appears that my past BPO experience is marked as absconding. This issue has halted 4 more offers so far, and I am almost jobless despite possessing technical skills.
I revisited the BPO company, and they are willing to provide an experience certificate with no dues but with the word "ABSCOND." They remain rigid and are unwilling to issue me an experience letter without that disheartening term.
What can I do now? Does this imply that I won't secure a job at all? I have a family to support, and I am the sole breadwinner now. Unfortunately, I am also married. I feel like crying.
I seek some help and advice on this predicament I am facing. Can anyone provide guidance?
Thanks in advance for your responses.

Hi Anil and NrGuru,
I have a similar kind of problem as NrGuru has. I have absconded from a BPO company since that's not my career itself. My current employer is a very big IT company, and I now have 3 years of experience. For the next opportunity, I have already received an offer letter. However, for the background verification, they are now asking about my BPO experience since I had issues due to absconding.
How can I deal with this? I could not convince the BPO HR person to change the status, even though I said I would pay whatever. I am too worried and upset because of this issue. My relieving letter from the BPO has the word "ABSCONDED," which is very painful.
Does this mean I won't get a job at all?
NrGuru and Anil, could you share your contact numbers in my email at eswarfireboy@gmail.com? This is a very urgent case for me, and I need to get help. Please assist me, friends.
Thanks in advance.
