Hello,
Here's the difference between our Indian way of counting & the Western way:
Indian system has a comma after every TWO Zeroes while the Western system has after every THREE zeroes after thousand.
Indian: 1,000-->1,00,000 [Lakh]-->1,00,00,000 [crore]
Western: 1,000-->1,000,000 [Million]-->1,000,000,000 [Billion]
If you can notice, 10 Lakhs is 1 Million & 10 Crores is 1 Billion.
Hope this suffices.
