I would like to know the laws that protect a female from dismissal from a job during pregnancy. In case the female has informed her employer verbally about her maternity leave plan, will she be entitled to receive the salary for the maternity leave period if she is dismissed at any time during the pregnancy?

Yes, it is an offense, and the employer can go immediately to jail. A minimum of 80 days should be worked in an establishment before being entitled to this Act.
