I am having one doubt.Plz guide me.
presently we are recruting new employee on probationary/training basis on period of 160 days.then I have decided to give them confirmation letter which was not in practice earlier.so plz tell me that -can I give the conformation after completion of 160 dats or shoud issue after 1 year?
Plz guide Its urgent.

Yes you can issue them letter ststing their confirmation of services.
But one thing i want to ask whether you people have hired they are on contractual basis or not?if on contract, then u can issue appointment letter which will state that now they are on the roll of company.

No I am not asking about contract basis employees.I am asking about regular employees to whom we are giving appointment letter at the first day of job. To them I want to give confirnation but when? after160 days or 1 year this is main issue?

Dear Sanika,
You are hiring employee on probation for 160 days.
You need to asses whether to confirm/extend probation/terminate.
As per the employment contract notice period (Generally 30 days) you have to inform to employee prior to the expiry of probation date.
If you want to confirm them issue confirmation letter before the expiry of probation. If nothing is communicated to employee on completion of probation then it is deemed that employee is confirmed.

Please understand what is probation?
Probation is the period to judge the performance of an individual? if you are satisfied with the performance probationary can be confirmed in the organisation. in case you are not satisfied either he can be terminated or probation can be extended to another period of six month & so based on unsatisfactory performance.
but keep in mind termination must be communicated before completion of probation period else as Mr.Abedeen rightly said he deemed to be confirmed employee.
